First Official Skit Auditions!

Come one come all! We will be doing preliminary readings until the Cross closes. If you have class, come when you can.

Here's some information on the speaking roles available:

Large Roles
Li – Main Character
Pong – Main Character's good-for-nothing best friend
Mei – Li's Fiancee, Ding's big sister, and all around battle-axe
Ding – Mei's little brother, anti-gwailo, dumb-jockish (martial arts background a plus)
Mrs. Ma – Li's neighbor, Mei's confidant
Cho – Tomboy, Ding's friend and leader of a street gang (martial arts background a plus)

Medium Roles
Sun – Leader of the Gam San Tong, rogue with a heart of gold
Kuan – Leader of the Kuai Feng Tong, villainess with a heart of ice

Small Roles
Madam Jing – Buxom madam of the Voluptuous Dragon
Mrs. Li – Li's mom
Mrs. Li's Friend – Li's mom's friend
Campaign Lady – Bubbly woman promoting voting
Detective Wayne – SFPD detective
Johnny – Gam San Tong Flunky
Kuan's Right Hand Man – Kuan's Generic Bodyguardish guy (martial arts background a plus)

 
Note that some of the names are simply placeholders and may change.

You're welcome to try out for any number of roles.

Auditions usually run long with a lot of lag time in between, so be sure to bring some homework or some reading, food, or feel free to chat it up with other auditioners, but make sure you're not distracting the people while they are actually auditioning.
